The spectacular ending of an intense Friday in Val di Sole was attended by an impressive audience. Tomorrow the Cross Country races
The long Friday in Daolasa di Commezzadura (Trentino, Italy) on August 27th came to a close with the Four-Cross World Championships, hosted by Val di Sole for the sixth straight edition.
The passion of the Italian fans and the presence of Italy’s Tourism Minister Massimo Garavaglia accompanied the show of the discipline, setting up for a beautiful evening of sports in Val di Sole.
The Czech Republic National Team conquered both the men and the women title thanks to icon Tomas Slavik and Michaela Hajkova.
Slavik won his third world title, interpreting in the best way the route designed by the Grandi Eventi Val di Sole organizers. Adrien Loron (France) claimed the second place ahead of Hannes Slavik (Austria). Italy grazed the podium with Martti Sciortino, fourth in the final round due to an unfortunate fall.
In the women’s competition, Michaela Hajkova preceded Mathilde Bernard (France) and Anna Sara Rojas, who gave Bolivia a historical medal in the UCI Mountain Bike World Champs.
Tomorrow, on Saturday, August 28th, the program continues with the U23 and Elite Cross Country competitions (9.00 CET U23 Women, 10.45 CET U23 Men, 13.00 Elite Women, 15.45 Elite Men).
For Saturday 28th August (Cross Country competitions) and Sunday 29th August (Downhill competitions) entry tickets will be required, with a maximum number of spectators. To access the event, spectators from Italy and European Union countries must present a valid Green Pass, whilst the spectators from non-EU Countries must show a certificate of vaccination recognized in Europe or a negative result of a Covid Test.
